Overview

Data Partnerships, LLC (“Data Partnerships,” “we,” “us”) operates a data-licensing marketplace. Business owners (“clients”) license anonymised, de-identified copies of their business records to vetted data buyers. Referral partners (“affiliates”) introduce businesses to us and earn commissions. We book consultation meetings and run a client and partner portal at app.datapartnerships.com.

This policy applies to datapartnerships.com, the portal, our booking pages, our emails and calls with you, and any optional integrations you connect (such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, Fathom, or Fireflies). It explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. By using our services you acknowledge this policy. Our Terms of Service govern use of the services.

The data you license through us is a separate matter from the personal information described here. Licensed datasets are governed by the signed data licensing agreement between you and us, and are de-identified before any buyer sees them (see Sharing).

Information we collect

Contact and booking information

When you request a data review, book a meeting, or apply as a partner we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, preferred meeting time and time zone, and anything you type in free-text fields. If you arrive through a partner’s referral link, we record the referral code so we can attribute the introduction.

Business information

To assess whether your records are licensable we ask about your business: industry, size, years in operation, the types of records you hold, and approximate volume. Before any licensing begins we may review samples or descriptions of your records under a confidentiality agreement.

Portal account data

If you create an account on the portal we collect your login email, a password (stored only as a salted hash), role (client or partner), profile details, notification preferences, documents you upload, and activity inside the portal. Partners also provide tax and payout information, such as a Form W-9, which we store privately and use only to pay commissions and meet tax reporting obligations.

Usage and analytics data

Our websites automatically collect technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location. We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and Google Ads / Google tag conversion tracking, to measure advertising performance and understand how visitors use the site. See Cookies and tracking.

Integration data

If you choose to connect a third-party account, we receive the data described in Google API Services and your Google data and Other integrations. Integrations are optional; you can use our services without connecting any of them.

Communications

We keep emails, call notes, and (where you or we have connected a recording or transcription tool and all participants have been told) meeting recordings and transcripts that relate to your engagement with us.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries, schedule and run consultation meetings, and send confirmations and reminders.
  • To evaluate whether your records are suitable for licensing, prepare de-identification, and facilitate data licensing agreements with buyers.
  • To operate the portal, authenticate users, and provide support.
  • To track referrals and calculate and pay affiliate commissions.
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising, and to detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to enforce our agreements.
  • To send service messages, and marketing emails where permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use contact or integration data to build advertising profiles.

Google API Services and your Google data

If you connect your Google account, Data Partnerships’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms: our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access

  • Google Calendar. With your permission we read your availability (free/busy) and create, update, and cancel calendar events for meetings you book with us, including the title, time, attendees, and a video-meeting link.
  • Gmail. With your permission we send email on your behalf for the booking and follow-up features you enable, and we read only the messages and threads that relate to your engagement with Data Partnerships (for example, replies to meeting invitations and documents you send us) so they can be attached to your portal record. We do not read, index, or store your unrelated mail.
  • Basic profile. Your name, email address, and profile picture, to identify your account.

Limited Use commitments

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features you requested, described above.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or sale with notice to you.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalised, or interest-based advertising.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine-learning models. Google user data is never included in any dataset licensed to a data buyer.
  • Humans do not read your Google data unless you give us permission for specific items, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

Storage, protection, and revoking access

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and Google data is transmitted over TLS. Access is limited to the staff and systems that need it. You can disconnect Google at any time from the portal’s integrations settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect we stop all access immediately and delete stored tokens and Google-derived data within 30 days, unless you ask us to keep specific items in your portal record or the law requires us to retain them. You may also email privacy@datapartnerships.com to request deletion.

Other integrations

You may optionally connect Zoom (to create meetings), Fathom and Fireflies (to record and transcribe meetings and return summaries). When connected, we receive meeting metadata, recordings, transcripts, and summaries for meetings involving us, and use them to prepare for and follow up on your engagement and to keep an accurate record. We access only what the permission you grant allows, and disconnecting stops the flow. Each provider also processes data under its own privacy policy. We will tell participants if a meeting is being recorded and will honour requests not to record.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract: hosting (Vercel and cloud infrastructure), database and file storage, email delivery, calendar and video tools, transcription tools, analytics and advertising measurement (Meta, Google), payment and payout processors, and professional advisers.
  • Data buyers — de-identified datasets only. Buyers receive datasets that have been de-identified under our process and the licensing agreement, and are contractually prohibited from re-identifying individuals or businesses’ customers. Buyers do not receive your contact details, portal data, or Google data.
  • Affiliates. A partner who referred you can see that you have booked or signed, and the status of that referral, so commissions can be tracked. They do not see your business records.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy and with notice to you.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above. As a guide: booking inquiries that do not become clients are kept up to 24 months; portal account and engagement records for the life of the relationship plus up to seven years for tax, accounting, and contract purposes; partner tax documents as required by law; analytics data up to 26 months. Google integration data is deleted as described above. Backups roll off on a regular cycle.

Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, least-privilege access for staff, security headers on our sites, and logging of access to sensitive systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and regulators as required by law.

Your rights and choices

You may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to restrict or object to certain uses, and to unsubscribe from marketing. Email privacy@datapartnerships.com; we will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (30 days where required). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to delete or correct it; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and to limit use of sensitive information. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories listed under “Information we collect” and disclosed them to the service providers described above. We do not sell personal information for money. Use of advertising cookies such as the Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out using the controls below or by emailing us. You may use an authorised agent to make requests.

Florida (FDBR) and other U.S. states

Residents of Florida and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling. Contact us to exercise them; if we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may contact your state attorney general.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

Our services are directed at U.S. businesses. If GDPR applies to you, our legal bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (running and securing the service, measuring marketing), consent (cookies, marketing, integrations), and legal obligation. You may also withdraw consent, request portability, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Data is processed in the United States; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies (sign-in, security, remembering referral codes), analytics, and advertising cookies from Meta and Google to measure ad conversions and show relevant ads to people who visited our site. You can:

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the portal.
